Absolutive...

“Don’t tell me how much you are educated, tell me how much you have travelled and the rest defines your wisdom.”

Cannot recollect where I have read this but it was a long time back and still remains occupied in the same place in the mind when it was first struck. Having had a chance to travel a bit, people to meet, places to see and time to fight in peace, it feels good to understand simple things around us and today if I don’t travel the restlessness in me creeps in. I am not sure what it got me but I find calmness, I like the unknown explorations I can capture and it gives me more insight to what we hold on to, away from the busy crowded streets and never ending hunger to race.

When ice cold water flowing with a force pounds on to you, you feel at peace. When the dark forests holds on to you in the night only with the light from the moon and sound from the flowing water, you feel calm. When you drive on to the edge of the mountain and look at the unexplored valleys, you feel feared. When you see people walking over the mountains up and down to their daily living, you feel blessed that you have all of it without a struggle.

You see people madly in spirituality and you also see few making money out their madness. You see nature at its furious state and the beauty when it is furious. You see places calm and pleasant as autumn but cannot reach them to experience.

Small and simple things you left back in your busy world makes you think how important they are to you and how left out, at times, they are. Not out of agony for finding something but for search of what lies within you makes you realize what you have and others don’t.

In search of light, you find a path.
In search of answer, you find you.
In search of adventure, you find rest.
In search of facts, you find life.

In search of beliefs you find faith.
In search of a place you find people.
In search of achievement, you find completeness.
In search of nature you find peace.

Not all travels start with a search but all of them end with a finding. At times I want to tell people around me to travel and most of the times I end up forcing them, I don’t mind doing that as long as I am able to win it for a good time out. I have also seen few people confining their boundaries to a place and people, all their lives. It is difficult to communicate with them for them their beliefs is what holds them up from the rest of the world. But for the ones who has not seen the world cannot compare or talk about it.

Travel, not in search but in tranquility. Travel, not in agony but in joy. Travel, not in targets but in Absolutiveness….

P.S: There is no word called “Absolutive” I have joined them from “Absolute” & “Positive”. :P lol

Chasing a Change...

We spent countless days under the deep dark sky and tried doing something that was impossible. We failed every day but the next day was a new beginning and tried to do the same thing again and again. Counting stars was and will be an impossible task yet we had that enthusiasm to do so every night that we spent on the roof top. When we look back we see a lot has changed over the years, we don’t even look up to the sky on a dark night anymore. Stars are still visible, in small number though with all the pollution in the air, but we don’t even try to count them.

We blame our busy lives and loaded work of the day, we get tired and we stoop to the ground by the time night falls. Yes, i do agree that a lot around us has changed over the years but there are times when we ask ourselves....what exactly has changed?

We woke up to the chirping birds,
We walked along the road in herds.
When wake up calls replaced the need..
We realized time had changed.

Playground was not defined,
Games were not rehearsed.
When gain replaced the pain..
We realized time had changed.

Getting drenched in the rain was fun,
Living in the moment was given.
When seasons stopped with reasons..
We realized time had changed.

People were around,
Situations were sound.
When distance replaced achievements..
We realized time had changed.

We define a requirement and then add value to it. When a value is added, we then define the need. When need is achieved we look for a new requirement. When we look back we see how much everything around us has changed we never look within to find how much of us has remained.
