Journey to the Road…Less Travelled!!

We fell… We stood
We waited to balance on the hood.
Boundaries were defined.
Ability was confined.
Confusion was laughed at.
Innocence covered a bit.

When we started walking…
We fell…We stood
We waited to balance on the hood.

When roads were unknown, directions were shown .
When choices were limited, opinions were counted .
Sensibility for interests and Preferences for ability was imparted .

When we started walking...
We fell...We stood.
But we waited for the shoulder to balance on the hood.

When roads are crowded, we don’t want to follow the crowd.
When roads are empty, we don’t move a step around.
When boundaries are open, we don’t trust our ability.
When innocence is no more, confusion is filled with adaptability.

When we started walking free…
We fell…We stood
Yet, we waited for a shoulder to balance on the hood.

We prefer options to opinions.
We prefer directions to instincts.
We prefer limitations to freedom.
We are still walking...
We Fall…our goals mould.
We stand…our direction change.
We still balance on the hood…We still wait to fall back on a shoulder.

Life is at a cross road…
One road is not going to see the other in a life time.
People move on…
One person is not going to forget the other for a moment.
We still continue to walk
We Fall…We carry on.
We stand…We move along.
We still balance on the hood…We still wait for a miracle to happen.

We walk...We fall…We stand…
Values might lessen with every fall.
Esteem might lower with every rise.

We know what we need…but we Compromise.
We love to go our way…but we Search.
We see the road in sight…but only a few take the Road Less Travelled!!!

Conditional or Unconditional???

As teens and in our early college days, we had a wide spectrum of likes and dislikes. As we grew older, with experiences, the scale narrowed down from fantasies to practicalities.

We fantasized our likes to be interests and we fell in love with them. It was "Unconditional". No matter who they were and how they were, we liked them for what they were.

In the process of getting the best of things around us, over a period of time, we narrowed our interests. This is "Conditional". We like them because it fits best for us.

So…Is your love Conditional or Unconditional?

Reasons were not important.
Comparisons were seldom made.
Pride was virtually non existent
Compromises dint seem as big

Dreams were sensible.
Relationships were more meaningful.
Friends were everywhere...and
Happiness was derived from whatever we saw.

Reasons occupied the spaces
Comparisons moved in races.
Pride learned to survive
Compromises desired attention.

Dreams were replaced by expectations
Relationships moved with perceptions
Friends were defined…but
The Irony is, we are happier.

Today, we attribute a lot of reasons, rather conditions; in order to love something and yet we say love is blind. Conditional or Unconditional, I would just say that we know our selves a lot better. For now, what is more important to me is, whether the love is genuine or not genuine…
